Cusco and Wild Rover

I should probably say wild rover and cusco. After Machu Picchu I made one of my better decisions, and that was to stay and work in the wild rover Cusco. The wild rover Is known as a party hostel with something happening every night. Kevin, my friend from Cardiff was manager there and insisted I work there for two weeks. It was amazing working there, I wouldn't really consider it work. The themes of the nights ranged from quiz night, beer pong night to uv and Hawaiian parties. I made some great friends for life, it's incredible how close you get in such a short time.

Cusco was amazing, the city was lively. It was always nice to go out and explore San Pedro market selling some of the smelliest foods ever as well as clothes and pretty much anything else. You couldn't walk 10 steps without being offered cocaine or a massage. One guy tried to sell me a painting one day, when I said no he offered me cocaine. There were people selling food and drinks on the streets that always smelt good.
Myself, Kev and Cormac went parasailing in the sacred valley which was incredible, a little terrifying running and jumping off the edge of a mountain. When Kevin was flying around the wind dropped and the kite folded, it was scary to watch but wishing 2 seconds everything was fine again.

And one Friday we got up and decided to go on a staff quad biking session to the salt mines and thru the sacred valley. The quad biking was great, James had never driven before and was given a bike and barely shown how to use it, this country is mad!! We got competitive and started overtaking each other, and the quads had speedos so we had a competition to see who could drive the fastest, I got 66kmh.

Of course two weeks wasn't long enough and I ended up staying a month, it was definitely worth it, I made some great friends. Colombia next 😀
